Cenicafé

Our principal investigator, Andrés Palacio, met with Santiago Jaramillo, Juan Carlos García, and Ninibeth Sarmiento at the Cenicafé facilities to discuss a possible collaboration on a research line focused on coffee, water, and environmental sustainability. During the meeting, the idea was explored that water scarcity—whether in terms of quantity or quality—can be used to analyze how coffee production has contributed to the expansion of the agricultural frontier in Colombia throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
