Today at Lund University, LUSEM and LUCSUS, welcomed Colombian professor Martha Isabel Gómez Lee from FIGRI-UniExternado de Colombia, for a compelling seminar on Local Traditional Knowledge for Global Governance.
In seminars at LUSEM, LUCSUS, and KEG, Martha shared timely research on:
▪ Future temporalities in Latin American public policy
▪ Digital biopiracy and strategies for Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and peasant communities facing DSI (digital sequence information) challenges
▪ The role of traditional knowledge in addressing the interconnected crises of biodiversity, climate, water, health, and food
A powerful call to center traditional knowledge in global policy.
